We are pleased to announce that, as part of our continual commitment to providing exceptional dental care, we are making some changes at mapleridge dentistry. Under new ownership, we are expanding our services, offering extended hours, same-day emergency appointments and providing the modern techniques in modern dental treatment. Allow us to introduce the newest members of our team:
Dr. Guorgui is a skilled dentist with specialized training from renowned dental experts during a residency at the New York Hospital of Queens. His mastery of dental surgery, sedation, and implants and his dedication to personalized patient care have made him a highly regarded professional across various private clinics in the greater Toronto area.
Dr. Eisen has been a respected professional in the field since 1985. Dr. Eisen’s strong community involvement is highlighted by his contribution to creating a dental clinic for disadvantaged youth, showcasing his exceptional skill and compassion.
Dr. James Ko, a proficient dentist, researches Biomaterials, explicitly focusing on dental implant surfaces and bone interaction. He excels in patient care, taking a holistic approach to address concerns and improve dental health.
Dr. Jacklyn Pivovarov's passion for dentistry stems from her desire to help patients achieve optimal oral health and confidence in their smiles. She is dedicated to positively impacting her patients' lives by providing comprehensive dental care with compassion and expertise.
Dr. Jason Wong, a Calgary native, earned his bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Calgary and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan. He completed a general practice residency at London Health Sciences, focusing on medically compromised patients and surgical dentistry.
Dr. Maryam Yazdi, a Toronto native, earned her Honours Bachelor of Science from York University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honours from the University of Toronto. She is skilled in various dental services, including cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric care.
Dr. Arman Hateffard is a University of Toronto graduate receiving the William J. Evon Scholarship. Fluent in English and Farsi, he is excited to meet new patients in Barrie and build lasting relationships.
Dr. Yeou Shuin (Sean) Liu graduated from Sri Ramachandra University in Chennai, India, in 2008 and joined his father’s dental practice, becoming his family's third generation of dentists. With over 16 years of international experience in general dentistry, Dr. Liu completed the NDEB equivalency process in Canada in 2022, earning his certification as a board-certified dentist. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Chinese (Hubei – Indian origin), and Tamil. Dr. Liu enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two daughters outside his dental practice.
Dr. Christian Samuel is a dedicated dentist known for his commitment to patient care. He earned his dental degree from Western University. He completed a general practice residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he gained expertise in advanced surgical and sedation techniques.

Just got home from the Smile Centre and I'm thrilled with my results. Had Zoom whitening, and it was better than I expected. The attendant took the time to explain everything super thoroughly. She warned I may have sensitivity but so far so good. I wish I did it ages ago.
The first thing I noticed upon entering the building was the beautiful design plan and lovely staff. I was greeted at the door and made comfortable throughout my entire experience. Everything was explained to me in detail and the staff always made sure I fully understood. This is an amazing office and I would 10/10 recommend it!!

Every time I go to the Smile Centre in Barrie it’s an amazing experience! Everyone from the admin staff to the dentists are so helpful. Not only do they tell you your options (in my case options for a missing tooth), but they also explain the pros and cons of every option. I highly recommend the Smile Centre
Barrie Smile Centre is truly amazing I called and had an issue with with some tooth pain they were able to fit me in same day which I was truly grateful for.
