Why Dentistry?
Dr. Jason Wong’s journey into dentistry began with his passion for healthcare and desire to make a meaningful impact on people's lives. He was drawn to the field for its unique combination of science, precision, and patient interaction. For Dr. Wong, dentistry is more than just treating teeth; it’s about improving overall health, enhancing confidence, and creating lasting patient relationships.
Education
Dr. Wong earned his bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Calgary, where he developed a strong foundation in medical science. He then pursued his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Saskatchewan, where he honed his skills and knowledge in various aspects of dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Wong completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) with the London Health Sciences Dental Department, where he gained specialized experience in managing medically compromised patients, treating head and neck cancer patients, and performing surgical and emergency dentistry.

Dr. Wong’s expertise extends beyond general dentistry. His advanced training allows him to offer comprehensive care, including managing complex medical conditions, providing emergency dental care, and performing surgical procedures. He is exceptionally experienced in treating patients with head and neck cancers and those requiring specialized attention due to medical complications. Dr. Wong emphasizes preventive care and patient education, empowering individuals to take control of their oral health.

Since 2019, Dr. Wong has been practicing in Simcoe County and Newmarket. He prioritizes building trust and open communication with his patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed about their treatment options. Dr. Wong believes in a collaborative approach to care, where patients are actively involved in their oral health decisions. He looks forward to continuing to serve his community and helping his patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.

Just got home from the Smile Centre and I'm thrilled with my results. Had Zoom whitening, and it was better than I expected. The attendant took the time to explain everything super thoroughly. She warned I may have sensitivity but so far so good. I wish I did it ages ago.
The first thing I noticed upon entering the building was the beautiful design plan and lovely staff. I was greeted at the door and made comfortable throughout my entire experience. Everything was explained to me in detail and the staff always made sure I fully understood. This is an amazing office and I would 10/10 recommend it!!

Every time I go to the Smile Centre in Barrie it’s an amazing experience! Everyone from the admin staff to the dentists are so helpful. Not only do they tell you your options (in my case options for a missing tooth), but they also explain the pros and cons of every option. I highly recommend the Smile Centre
